Files Preparation

THE FILES CAN BE SENT:
- by e-mail to service@akostudio.it
- to our mailing address: AKOstudio - via Segesta 2F 00179 Rome (Italy).

CUTTING PROCEDURE
To be able to make use of this procedure we need a vector file (.dfx, .dwg, .ai, .eps). However, we are also able to obtain the needed elements by converting them from files created from 3D modelling software. The lines of the sketch must be united among them (example: a square must be formed by a unique line and not four separate). It must ABSOLUTELY be avoided that on the file, there are hidden or overlapped elements. However, each manufacture will be done with the client in order to establish with preciseness which elements must be cut an which are to be engraved. In case the client is not able to produce this type of file, can contact us by e-mail.

ENGRAVING PROCEDURE
The file for this procedure can be vector or bitmap (.jpg, .png, .psd, .bmp, .tiff). The lines must be united among them and there must not ABSOLUTELY be hidden or overlapped elements, but above all the lines must be closed.

It is possible to engrave photographs as well as graphics elements. The quality of the details can vary according to needs. There is no need to look for a high quality element. Many times to illustrate a form is sufficient to use a good quality element. This will remarkably diminish the manufacturing cost.

DIFFERENTIATION BY LEVELS
The files must be in 1:1 format and the measuring unity must be millimetres (mm). It must be indicated the material and its thickness. In general to render more rapid the analyses of a file, it is suggested to prepare it in one of the listed formats and by following the indications given in the illustrations below:

Cut – colour of the line: Black.
Raster engraving – colour of the line: Red
Vector Engraving – colour of the line: Green
